Israeli forces kill 3 young Palestinians in separate shootings across the West Bank

Israeli soldiers shot dead three young Palestinians in separate incidents across the occupied West Bank, amid rising tensions between Palestinians and the usurping regime in the occupied territories.

In a brief statement, the Palestinian Health Ministry announced the “martyrdom of Mahmoud Sami Khalil Aram” which occurred on Sunday evening, after Israeli forces opened fire on him near the Jbara military checkpoint, south of Tulkarem , the Palestinian Information Center reported.

Israeli media reported earlier that the young Palestinian, from the besieged Gaza Strip, was allegedly trying to breach the separation wall in Tulkarem.

Separately on Sunday, another young Palestinian was shot dead by Israeli soldiers at Bab al-Amoud, also known as Damascus Gate, one of the main gates of the occupied old city of al-Quds, following a alleged knife attack.

Israeli media said the murder took place after an Israeli security guard was stabbed outside the Old City, leaving the attacker fatally shot.

Israeli security forces said a “suspect armed with a knife stabbed an officer” outside Damascus Gate, who was later taken to hospital in moderate condition.

In the third shooting, a young Palestinian who was trying to open the gate of the Tuqu settlement in eastern Bethlehem by pulling the lock, was discovered and shot dead by the settlement guard.

Some Israeli sources say four Palestinians tried to infiltrate the settlement, three of whom fled after the fourth was shot dead.

The latest development comes as the Israeli regime has stepped up its deadly attacks on Palestinians ahead of Ramadan and maintained violence throughout the month of holy fasting, stoking anti-Tel Aviv sentiments in the occupied territories.

The Israeli regime has also intensified its violent attacks against Palestinian worshipers inside the al-Aqsa Mosque compound in the occupied old city of al-Quds in recent weeks.

Earlier this month, thousands of people around the world took to the streets to deplore Israeli violence against Palestinians at the al-Aqsa Mosque and elsewhere in the occupied territories.

Since last month, at least 25 Palestinians have been killed in attacks by Israeli forces across the occupied territories.
