We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a External Reporting & Consolidations Manager support the Senior Director of External Reporting and Consolidations and the Director of External Reporting and Technical Accounting with the external reporting function within OLG, including monthly and quarterly accounting and consolidation processes, statement preparation financial and annual reports, audits, reporting to stakeholders and ensuring compliance with all reporting requirements. You will also be expected to help maintain internal controls over financial reporting and support continuous improvement of the external reporting function.


Reporting to the External Reporting & Technical Accounting Director, you will be in charge of:

  • Manage the completion of monthly, quarterly and annual accounting and consolidation processes for the preparation of OLG’s financial reports and reports to the Board of Directors

  • Management of monthly and quarterly accounting processes, validation of reports, preparation of working papers and reconciliations and preparation of comments on the monthly balance sheet

  • Manage activities related to interim and year-end financial statement audits, manage audit deliverables, prepare and/or review audit working papers, review audit plans and audit findings reports audit, liaise with external auditors

  • Prepare quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements, including related briefing notes, working papers and supporting files

  • Prepare schedules and working papers for Ministry of Finance Public Accounts reports

  • Prepare the annual report, including the preparation of management discussion and analysis, collaborate with other business partners, ensure compliance with the Agencies and Appointments Directive

  • Support compliance with OLG’s Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Finance with respect to financial statements and annual reports

  • Prepare and/or review all finance-related press releases, freedom of information requests, and other ad-hoc financial information requests

  • Prepare briefing notes and financial reports for the Audit and Risk Management Committee/Board of Directors

  • Participate in briefings with management

  • Support the preparation and verification of the gross income statement as required

  • Prepare other financial reports for other stakeholders

  • Maintain internal control over financial reporting, support annual reviews and updates

  • Support other finance business lines in terms of audit requirements, inquiries, budget preparation, etc.

  • Support other internal and external audits as they arise from time to time

  • Support continuous continuous improvement of all external reporting processes


Professional experience: 3-5 years of experience in accounting, financial statement audits, preparation of financial statements and working papers

Education: University degree in finance or accounting; professional accounting designation, CPA

Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of IFRS and an understanding of OLG’s business model and the lottery and gaming industry is an asset
